Histological subtypes of Congenital Hyperinsulinism
Diffuse Disease
Focal Disease

Focal Disease
(This is confined to a very tiny region of the
pancreas and is producing too much insulin).

Diffuse Disease
(all the beta-cells are abnormal
and produce too much insulin).

There are two types of histological subtypes as shown in the diagrams below.
